English Covalp strengthens his team 18 October 2017

With the arrival of Patrick Arnaud, Covalp strengthened our team to better serve you. With more than 30 years’ experience in the Biax industry, Patrick is bringing additional competences to the company. He has been working in key activities for turnkey projects, such as Project Management, Technical Management and Site Management (installation and commissioning). With the continuous growth of the company, it was a must to get new experienced and complementary resources in order to better serve the market.

English New waterbath 10 October 2017

At the beginning of 2017, Covalp designed, installed and started a complete waterbath and chill roll system, integrated in existing line, including heat exchangers, pumps and air fans. To achieve this project, we focused on interchangeability of components with other customer’s production line while increasing production capacity significantly. Design also means ergonomy for both machine and supervision, easy access and intuitive interface. Thanks again to our customer who trusted us on this successful project.

  • Output test : check extrusion sample weight to measure extruder output
  • Airspeed : measure static pressure inside tender ducts and convert to air speed
  • Energy : calculate kW by measuring flow and temperature difference
  • Specific energy : calculate the mechanical specific energy of your extruder
  • Speed calculation : adjust your line speeds to get correct thickness
  • Stretch Ext CR : calculate stretching ratio between die and chill roll as a reference
  • Stretch TDO : be sure your tender profile is correct with acceptable rail angles
  • Winder : check your maximum length on jumbo, winding density (film/air) and output
